October 28, 2015 When her mother dies, the adult daughter loses her security touchstone. As long as her mother is alive, even if she's halfway across the country, she's only a phone call away. Even if a daughter doesn't always reach out to her mother when she has a problem, knowing her mother is around can be reassuring. When mom dies, a daughter is starkly alone. Women with close mother-daughter relationships may feel the loss more acutely.... Tyra, I can't even imagine your pain right now. Your parents, Dr. T. H. & First Lady Davis were well known "GIANTS" in this world. To fill those shoes is mission impossible, but since they taught us & paved the way for us, their legacy will continue to live on. You've always stood by your parents & watched them very closely. You are just like them..their little "Mini-Me" It's hard for you right now, but hold on & know that you're loved. Wear your hats well, for your Mother was a woman of many, many hats both physically & spiritually.
