Let the fireworks fill the air as we say Adieu to First Lady Mother Ida Marie Davis You were highly honored with Lavish & Grace that is befitting to a First Lady. Being the woman of your stature, all of your signature services were astonishing, with heart warming tributes, hats and roses and some good ole' church! I was overwhelmed by the generosity of friends and neighbors who were sitting behind uttering some of the things you did for them personally. A gracious Mother she was to so many.... So full of wisdom, love, compassion, understanding, not judgemental, just a remarkable 1st class woman. She and Pastor Davis paved the way for many.....we wouldn't where we are today if it wasn't for them. The most touching...."I Will Always Love You"....was the Sealing of The Bier done by her daughter/caretaker, Tyra with her saying "Nite Nite Mama"...so heartfelt that it compelled everyone on their feet with tears in their eyes. The Horse-Drawn Carriage carried her to be placed on the side of her king, The Honorable President Pastor Dr. Rev. T. H. Davis. Well done Mother. You wear your much deserved Crown!!!
